Thanks to the success of the Bartók Year of 2016, in the framework of the series of concerts of the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra, on 10-11th May 2018 there was the premiere of the orchestral suite of Béla Bartók: The Wooden Price, in the grand hall of the Romanian Atheneum.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó payed an official visit to Romania on 30th August, 2017 at the invitation of Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodor Meleșcanu. The Minister met with President of the Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania Hunor Kelemen, after which he held talks with Foreign Minister Meleșcanu, Deputy Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, Speaker of Romanian Parliament Liviu Dragnea and Chairman of the Senate Călin Popescu-Tăriceanu.
