On September 7, 2026, H.E. Ambassador Katalin Kissné Hlatki gave a welcoming speech at the opening ceremony of the Ady Endre Theoretical Lyceum in Bucharest; in her speech, she greeted the children, their parents and the teachers and expressed her joy that the Hungarian school in Bucharest is not only alive, but also constantly developing.
She praised the teachers, emphasizing that they shape the entire community and lay the foundation for our future in the course of their work, for which they deserve special recognition. Addressing the parents, she thanked them for their trust in choosing the Ady Endre Lyceum to educate their children, thus continuing the more than 200-year history of Hungarian education in Bucharest.
