On December 8, 2025, the Hungarian Embassy in Bucharest organized a panel discussion focusing on the energy security challenges facing the Romanian energy sector. The event was opened by H. E. Katalin Kissné Hlatki, Ambassador of Hungary to Bucharest, who in her speech, the Ambassador emphasized the importance of adequately addressing current energy challenges, the significance of conscious, future-proof construction, and the role of regional international cooperation, highlighting the excellent Hungarian-Romanian energy relations.
The guest speakers at the panel discussion were Zoltán Nagy-Bege, Director of Energy Markets at CIGA Energy, and Zsuzsa Bereschi, Director of Energy and Sustainability at EY. During the discussion, the experts discussed the current state of the Romanian energy sector, its challenges and crisis management capabilities, as well as its future prospects.
