With the solemn swearing-in of the MPs elected in April, the National Assembly of Hungary was constituted on May 9, 2026.
Following the inaugural session of the Parliament, on the same day, May 9, Mr. Péter Magyar, President of the TISZA party, was elected as Head of Government by a large majority, officially becoming the 60th Prime Minister of Hungary.

Following the inaugural session and the election of the Prime Minister, the Ministers of Hungary's new Government took their oath of office on May 12. Hungary's Minister of Foreign Affairs is Deputy Prime Minister Mrs. Anita Orbán.
