On the occasion of the Heads of Missions Conference, H.E. András Baka, President of Hungary, hosted the leaders of the Foreign Ministry, ambassadors and consuls general of Hungary at the Sándor Palace.
In his speech, the Head of State said that he shared the responsibility with the actors of Hungarian diplomacy, to ensure that Hungary's partners view our country as a country that is proud of its history and culture, that is committed to its freedom and European ties, that respects its partners and that is reliable. The President of Hungary added that, despite differences of opinion, dialogue, mutual respect and trust in our undertaken obligations must be maintained, and then stated that he considers the relations between Hungary and its neighbouring countries to be particularly important.
András Baka emphasized that as President, he also felt responsible for all those who belong to the Hungarian nation outside the borders of Hungary. "Protecting their rights is a lasting interest of the Hungarian state, which I am convinced can be served most effectively by relying on the European framework and cooperating with our neighbours."
