On 17 December 2024, the Embassy of Hungary in Bucharest, in collaboration with the Liszt Institute in Bucharest, organized the closing cultural event of the Hungarian EU Presidency in the Great Hall of the Bucharest Arts Centre “Tinerimea” with the participation of around 100 people, at which the Kelemen Quartet gave a concert of works by Béla Bartók. Ferenc Bogár reported on the results of the Hungarian EU Presidency and the programs thereof in Bucharest, while Deputy State Secretary Mihai Harbic of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised the successes of the Hungarian Presidency, highlighting its substantial contribution to the full Schengen accession of Romania and Bulgaria.

The Ambassador of Poland in Bucharest, which holds the upcoming Presidency of the Council of the EU, then outlined his country’s EU Presidency priorities.
