On January 25, 2026, the Hungarian community in Mureș County celebrated the Day of Hungarian Culture with a grand piano concert in the impressive building of the Cultural Palace in Târgu Mureș. The guest of honour of the evening was H.E. Katalin Kissné Hlatki, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, who greeted the audience in her ceremonial speech.
The next day, January 26, the Ambassador visited key figures of local public life and personally informed herself about the most important issues affecting Mureș County in the past period. In this context she met Ferenc Péter, President of the Mureș County Council and Mayor Zoltán Soós. At the county HQ of UDMR, Zoltán Csibi Attila, President of the Mureș County UDMR, Senator Levente Novák, and Deputy Mayor Levente Mihály Kovács received the Ambassador. During the program Madame Ambassador visited the Bolyai Farkas Theoretical Lyceum and the Roman Catholic School in Târgu Mureș.
