Commemorating the 63rd anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution and War of Independence, the Hungarian Embassy in Bucharest organized a reception at the Ambassador's residence accompanied by a tabloid exhibition with the title of "30 Years in Freedom". At the reception the invited guests got a taste of the dishes of the world-famous Hungarian cuisine and the offer of Hungarian wineries.

In his welcome address, H.E. Ambassador Botond Zákonyi recalled the events of 1956 and 1989, and drew attention to the exhibition, presenting in chronological order, through five major units Hungary's transition from oppression of the communist dictatorship to regime change. Thirteen tableaux, with quotations and photographs, visualizing the system that deprived Hungarians of their freedom until its collapse of 1989-90.
