Gergely Gulyás, Minister heading the Prime Minister’s Office of Hungary, coordinator of European Affairs held talks with Minister Delegate for European Affairs of Romania George Ciamba, on the occasion of his visit to Bucharest on 4 February 2019. During the meeting, Minister Delegate George Ciamba and Minister Gergely Gulyás exchanged views on a number of relevant issues on the European agenda, such as the Multiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027, the future of Cohesion Policy, Enlargement Policy, and other issues of the institutional agenda. They emphasized the significance of cohesion as a European common value and the need to promote a message of unity at European level, including at the forthcoming informal summit of the European Council in Sibiu. There has also been an exchange of views on the future of Europe, including the prospects for the European Parliament elections that will be held in May this year. The meeting also offered an opportunity to review the results achieved by the Romanian Presidency at the EU Council one month after the mandate has been taken over.
